With four centuries of tradition (since 1570), Christmas market in Strasbourg is the oldest Christmas market in France, and one of the oldest in Europe.
The atmosphere in Strasbourg during this period is unique. It is especially in the late afternoon, when night falls, the magic settles : the shining shop windows, decorations embellish the facades, the smells of spices and cinnamon bring back childhood memories, Christmas carols echoing the church background.
On Place Kléber, the great fir, le plus haut sapin naturel décoré en Europe brille de mille feux.
